[space_40]Saran is growing into a very nice young man. Aloof, awkward, and out of it when he arrived, Saran first showed his stuff in school. Alone with his books, he was more than fine; he even won a big prize. Older now, he has developed the social skills to hold his own among the other kids. Now his intelligence is coming into play in a new, bigger arena. I expect to see Saran continue to develop into a fine and successful young man.

2015 – Journey to Warm Heart
Saran arrived at Warm Heart with a sense of urgency in 2010.
Hoping to break the circle of poverty and crime, the Thai Military asked Warm Heart to take in eight children from La Wu, a small village on the Thai-Myanmar border known for violence and its location on a drug-trafficking route.
Saran has one older sister and one younger brother that remain in La Wu.
Today
Though Saran misses his family, three dogs and five pigs he left behind, he loves having friends, playing computer games, and watching cartoons at Warm Heart.
He is always involved in the after school pick-up soccer game.
In school, there isn’t a subject he doesn’t like. He loves math, Thai, music, computers, and social studies.
He has so many interests he doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up, but we know it will be something great!
