Warm Heart Children’s Celebration
With the new year comes Children’s Day on January 13, and all the schools in our sub-district get together for a morning of food, fun, and prizes.
Parents and local shopkeepers bring food to share – iced drinks, spicy papaya salad, soothing fried rice, coconut ice cream sandwiches served with slices of white bread, and chocolate syrup.
Our elementary school crew gave a delightful dance performance and received a gift and crispy treats.
Our volunteers and staff ran games based on English vocabulary and handed out lots of snack prizes.

We are excited to introduce you to our latest initiative, the Fall Prevention Program, designed to enhance the well-being and safety of the seniors we serve in Thailand. Our Fall Prevention Program is a collaborative effort, spearheaded by a dedicated team that includes our Nurse contact, Usar, whose expertise and passion have been invaluable in shaping this initiative. We first crossed paths with Usar at an Expats club event, where we shared our vision for improving the lives of Thai seniors.

Our Fall Prevention Program encompasses a multi-faceted approach aimed at reducing fall-related risks and promoting safety among our elderly clients:
1. Comprehensive Assessments Our program begins with thorough assessments performed by qualified healthcare professionals. These assessments help determine each client’s level of fall risk, ensuring that interventions are personalized and effective.
2. Caregiver Training Based on the assessment results, caregivers receive specialized training. This training equips them with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide exceptional care while minimizing the risk of falls.
3. Home Surveys We understand that the home environment plays a crucial role in fall prevention. That’s why we conduct comprehensive home surveys to identify potential risk areas. This includes evaluating flooring, lighting, and the need for safety modifications such as grab bars.
4. Community Outreach Our commitment to fall prevention extends beyond our immediate clients. We also provide fall prevention training to local public health staff. By educating the broader community, we hope to create a safer environment for all.
